Saharna - is situated 110 km from Chisinau and amazes with its string of falls and terraces as well as its forest silence. Here is also situated the monastery Complex Saharna. The Monastery Complex is situated in one of the most picturesque gorges near Saharna village. The historical heart of the monastery dates back to an ancient hermitage originating from 16-17 centuries. The monastery was founded by the hermit Vartolomeu in 1777 and makes an integral part of the picturesque landscape and presents a sample of construction craftsmanship under unfavorable relief conditions.
